Wind Music's Collaboration Album 'CADENZA 21' Nominated for the 66th Grammy Award!
Congratulations to the producer and ensemble Hsuan Chang Kitano and art director Star Cheng. Their album 'CADENZA 21' is nominated for 2024 “𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲” by the Grammy Award.
The album showcases a fusion of traditional instruments like the nose flute, cucurbit flute, Jew's harp, pipa, and more. Spanning diverse music genres, it offers an improvisational and eclectic ethnic musical blend, merging traditional and contemporary Taiwanese elements, including Mongolian, Kunqu (Chinese opera), MiddleEastern styles, and more.
The design concept revolves around the 11 instruments featured, capturing their distinct traits and presenting a modern, geometric interpretation of world music. It highlights the instruments' inherent beauty and seamlessly integrates with the art of paper cutting.
